Large coral canyons. Deep valleys. Abundant marine life.
Just
north of Hol Chan Marine Park are two good dive sites: Tacklebox Canyons
and Cypress Canyons. This area is home to the largest of the coral canyons.
We descend upon a flat area at 50ft/15m and then swim between the canyons
at a maximum of 70ft/21m while the sloping sand valley gets deeper and
deeper underneath. Halfway through the dive, we ascend to 50ft/15m and
swim across the tops of the canyons.
